How to use your Rynex card with Google Pay

Add your virtual Visa to an Android phone or Wear OS watch, then tap to pay in shops, in apps and on the web.

A Rynex card has no plastic, but you can still pay in a shop with it. Add it to Google Pay and tap your Android phone or Wear OS watch on the terminal, the same way you would with any Visa card.

You'll need three things from your Rynex dashboard: the card number, the expiry date and the CVV.

Add the card

  1. Open Google Wallet, or the Google Pay app, on the phone you want to pay with.
  2. Tap the plus.
  3. Choose New Card.
  4. Tap Enter card details manually.
  5. Type in the number, expiry date and CVV from your Rynex dashboard.
  6. If it asks for a name and billing address, use the ones the card was created with, then save.
  7. Google may send a code by text message or email to verify. Enter it.
  8. Done: the card shows as ready to use.

Your billing address is in the dashboard, under the card's details. Copy all copies the whole address at once.

Where you can use it

  • In shops: tap any contactless terminal that takes Visa.
  • In apps: choose Google Pay at checkout instead of typing a card number.
  • On the web: pay in Chrome without filling in a card form.

Why pay this way

  • The card number stays hidden. Google Pay hands the shop a virtual number, not the number on your card.
  • Your screen lock confirms it. Payments are confirmed on the device before they go anywhere.
  • The same limit applies. The card still spends only its balance, whether you tap it or type it in.

Good to know

A contactless payment through Google Pay carries a small fee. It's on the pricing page with every other figure.

To stop the card working, freeze it in one tap from My Cards. New charges are declined, including taps from your phone.
